Mentors Of Change Program

Mentors Of Change Program and Talking Circle is a group gathering where everyone sits together as equals, often in a circle. It’s a space where each person can take turns speaking, sharing their thoughts, feelings, or stories. There’s no rush, and everyone listens respectfully. It helps build understanding, trust, and connection among participants. In Mentors of Change, these circles allow people to guide discussions, choose topics together, and support one another in a respectful environment.

Just want to let you all know that the Steinbach Talking Circle will start in September 2026

Mentures of change

Mentors of Change was born from an idea in early 2024, inspired by a Seattle FASD conference. By 2025, the concept evolved into a peer-led initiative, and after meeting with government officials, they secured initial funding. In 2025, they applied for and were granted the FASD Community Grant. Early 2026 marked the first Talking Circle, guided by a Knowledge Keeper from New Directions for Children, Youth, Adults & Families, and meetings continued monthly. By April 2026, the name Mentors of Change faced a registration conflict, prompting a new direction.

In mid-2026, Mentors of Change merged into WEAREYOU INC, a broader organization supporting people on the neurodiversity spectrum. Now a WEAREYOU INC program, Mentors of Change continues to host Talking Circles every fourth month, with growing interest in expanding to other regions. The program remains committed to its core mission—fostering community, dignity, and growth for all involved.
